Seedbox Rating ("we," "us") operates seedbox-rating.com. This page explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

When you use the contact form: your name, email address, and message.

When you suggest a provider: the URL and any note you provide. We don't require an account or any personal information to browse the comparison table itself.

Automatically: standard technical information collected by our hosting provider and captcha service (see below) — this may include your IP address and browser information, used only for security and spam prevention.

How we use it

• To respond to contact submissions and evaluate provider suggestions.
• To prevent spam and abuse of our forms (via a third-party captcha service).
• We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Third parties

• Captcha service (hCaptcha/reCAPTCHA): processes some technical data to verify you're not a bot when submitting a form. See their own privacy policy for details on what they collect.
• Analytics (PostHog, EU-hosted): we use PostHog to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, general click/interaction patterns — so we can improve it. This data is processed and stored in the EU. It's used in aggregate to understand usage, not to build a profile of you individually.
• Hosting provider: standard server logs as part of running the site.
• Affiliate partners: if you click an affiliate link and sign up with a provider, that provider's own privacy policy governs what they collect from you. We don't pass your contact-form or suggestion-form information to affiliate partners.

Data retention

We keep form submissions only as long as needed to respond to them or evaluate a suggestion, and delete them on request.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete any personal information we hold about you by reaching out through the contact form.

Cookies

We use PostHog analytics, which may set cookies or use similar browser storage to distinguish visitors and understand how the site is used. This isn't used for advertising or to identify you personally. If you'd rather not be tracked, most browsers let you block third-party cookies/scripts, which will stop this from working without affecting your ability to use the comparison table itself.
